Mountain Bike Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony September 14th 2011

Everyone knows the Vegas slogan. “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. Well in the case of the Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, the slogan gave way for a night. On Wednesday September 14th the Mtn Bike Hall of Fame & Museum conducted its 24th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. It took place at the North American InterBike Trade Show.

The story of the ceremony and the “who’s- who” of past Inductees that attended could not be contained to Vegas and has since spilled its way into International Magazines and wire services across the globe.

A rowdy crowd of over 400 enthusiasts attended the ceremony again this year, to celebrate the Induction of Bob Allen, Pete Webber, a large group from Laguna, California called the RADS and two internationally renowned race promoters from Quebec, Canada -Chantal Lachance and Patrice Drouin.(Pictured Above) Magazines from around the world were there in attendance to cover and spread the wonderful story of these new Inductees and their incredible accomplishments. There were 54 of the 100+ RADS there to accept the honor and trophy and they made their presence felt (heard).

The 2011 Inductees are:

Bob Allen, whose photographic vision and advocacy in the sport have contributed to and continue to add to the collective memory and evolution of mountain biking, Patrice Drouin & Chantal Lachance,  two Canadian promoters who have fueled much success and fun into mountain bike racing, Pete Webber, his influential work as IMBA's membership and communications director led directly to the growth and professionalism that marks IMBA today and The Laguna Rads, 100 individuals who have taken the adventure and camaraderie of mountain biking to a new level, while preserving the original spirit of the sport.
